PORTSMOUTH, Va. –  Detectives are asking for the  public’s help identifying a male who stole alcohol from a local ABC store.

On June 19,  just after 2:30 p.m., police received a call from the ABC Store located at 1136 London Boulevard.

They reported a larceny in which a male suspect entered the business, grabbed a shopping cart, and began selecting several bottles of top shelf alcohol from the store shelves.

After filling his cart with over $200 in merchandise, the male pushed the cart to the front door and walked away.

A few moments later, a vehicle pulled up to the front of the store and the male suspect grabbed the shopping cart, taking it outside without paying for the alcohol.

The suspect is described as a black male with black hair and dark colored eyes. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, light colored sweat pants, black sneakers, and a dark colored jacket.
