First Warning Forecast: Scattered showers and storms are moving in

Posted

Tracking showers and storms….All good things must come to an end! After a spectacular weekend and a good start to the work week, showers and storms are moving in for Tuesday.

As we move through our Monday night, expect increasing clouds late as a cold front approaches the area from the northwest. A few isolated showers are possible through the overnight. Low temperatures will be in the lower 70s.

As the front slowly slides through the area on Tuesday, we’ll see a few scattered showers and storms through the morning and afternoon. While the threat for severe weather is relatively low, some of the rain could be heavy at times, capable of producing localized flooding. Otherwise, expect more clouds than sun. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s. Most of the rain should exit the area by Tuesday night. Lows will be in the 70s.

A leftover shower or storm is possible on Wednesday, but a lot of us will dry out under partly sunny skies. High temperatures will be in the mid 80s.  Another frontal system moves in by the end of the week into next July 4th holiday weekend, giving way to scattered showers and storms. Highs will be in the 80s.

Tonight: Partly to Mostly Cloudy. Chance of Showers (20-30%). Low temperatures in the lower 70s. Winds: S 5-10 mph.

Tuesday: More Clouds than Sun. Scattered Showers/Storms (60%). High temperatures in the low to mid 80s. Winds: S 5-15 mph.

Wednesday: Partly Sunny. Isolated Shower/Storm (20%). High temperatures in the mid 60s. Winds: W 5-10 mph.
