Tracking showers, storms and gusty winds….Our weather will remain unsettled today and tomorrow with scattered showers and storms in the forecast, along with gusty winds.

As we move through this Thursday, areas of patchy fog will give way to partly sunny skies. As an area of low pressure approaches the area from the northwest, we could see a few scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially this afternoon and evening. Any storms that develop could be strong to possibly severe. Gusty winds and heavy rain will be the primary threats. High temperatures will be in the mid 80s.

As the low moves offshore into Friday, we’ll have scattered rain, a few storms and gusty winds. In fact, our winds will blow in from the northeast between 20 and 30 mph, with higher gusts. So, we’ll likely have some tidal flooding around high tide on Friday. High tide at Sewells Point on Friday is at 7:46 a.m. and 8:11 p.m. High temperatures on Thursday will be in the mid 80s. By Friday, highs will drop into the mid and upper 70s.

By the weekend, conditions are looking fairly nice for dad! On Saturday, we’ll see a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the mid 70s. The winds will continue to be a bit breezy at times. Father’s Day brings mostly sunny skies and high temperatures in the upper 70s.

Today: Patchy AM Fog. Then, partly sunny. Scattered Showers/Storms (30%). High temperatures in the mid 80s. Winds: SW-NE 5-10 mph.

Tonight: Mostly Cloudy. Scattered Showers/Storms Possible (50%). Low temperatures in the low 70s. Winds: E 5-10 mph.

Tomorrow: Mostly Cloudy. Scattered Showers/Storms (60%). Breezy. High temperatures in the mid and upper 70s. Winds: NE 15-25 mph.
