YORKTOWN, Va. – According to the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, units were dispatched to the area of Tiger Run around 5:45 a.m., Tuesday morning.

They responded to a suspicious person call after two black males, with gloves on, rang the doorbell of the victim.

The victim didn’t answer the door and the suspects drove away in a silver BMW.

A sergeant located the BMW at a local 7-Eleven on Hampton Highway, pulling out as he pulled into the parking lot.

At that point the suspect was speeding up and the Sergeant attempted to stop the vehicle  for going 66 mph in a 55 mph zone.

A pursuit ensued into the City of Hampton where the vehicle then hit a parked car.

The two suspects then fled on foot and got away from police.

Another jurisdiction confirmed the BMW as stolen.

Officials say the suspects were most likely going to attempt a burglary at the residence where they rang the doorbell.
