Meteorologist April Loveland’s First Warning Forecast

Tracking showers and storms…Some scattered showers and storms are in the forecast tonight. Heavy rain which could lead to some localized flooding is possible. Lows tonight near 70 degrees.

Our attention turns to Sunday…a strong cold front will approach from the west with scattered showers and thunderstorms. The best chance to see storms will be in the late afternoon to evening hours. These storms have the potential to become severe. Large hail, heavy rain, localized flooding, with an isolated tornado is possible.  It’ll be a steamy day with highs in the upper 80s. The cold front will move off the coast late Sunday into Monday with some lingering showers early Monday, followed by a mixture of sun and clouds.

Saturday night: Chance for showers and thunderstorms. Lows near 70 degrees.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy skies with showers and thunderstorms developing by late afternoon and evening. Some of these storms have the potential to become severe. Highs in the upper 80s.
