First Warning Forecast: Tracking scattered rain and thunderstorms for the holiday

Tracking scattered rain and thunderstorms…Continuing to keep an eye on Bonnie. Bonnie expected to bring some scattered rain and thunderstorms Sunday. Doesn’t look like it’ll be a total washout though. Slight chances for some scattered showers in the morning with greater chances as we head into the afternoon. Highs on Sunday in the upper 70s to lower 80s.  Low temperatures will dip into the mid to upper 60s.

For your Memorial Day, expect some more scattered showers and storms, but again like Sunday, will not be a soaker from start to finish. Though, heavy downpours are possible at times. Mostly cloudy skies all day with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Enjoy your weekend, just keep that rain gear handy!

Saturday night: Increasing clouds with a slight chance for an isolated shower…mainly for North Carolina (20%). Lows in the mid to upper 60s.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms (60%). Heavy downpours are possible. Highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Winds: SE 5-10 mph.

Monday: Scattered showers and storms (70%). Heavy downpours are possible. Highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Tropical Storm Bonnie is expected to make landfall in South Carolina early Sunday morning. Once the system moves inland, it will quickly downgrade into a tropical depression.
