Police investigating two school bus accidents in Chesapeake within one hour

CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Police are investigating after two separate accidents involving school buses happened Friday evening.

The first collision took place around 4:15 p.m. on Prince of Wales Drive and Bruce Road. Police dispatch indicated the crash involved two cars, the school bus and another vehicle.

There were no students on the bus at the time of the crash. Early reports indicated someone in the other car was injured, but that does not appear to be factual.

The second accident took place around 5:15 p.m. in the 1000 block of Austin Drive. Police dispatch said it was reported that a school bus hit a vehicle. The school bus had minor damages.

There were not any students on the bus when the crash happened and no one was hurt.
