Grab your umbrella. We’re tracking rain, possible storms for your weekend….Have your rain gear handy! Rain and possible storms are in the forecast today and tomorrow, but we’re not expecting a complete washout.

An area of low pressure will move over the area today, giving way to scattered rain. Some of the rain could be heavy at times. A few thunderstorms are also possible. Best rain chances will occur through the morning into the early afternoon. There may be a few breaks in the steady rain at times. But by mid-afternoon through the evening, we’ll see the coverage of rain diminish quite a bit. Some ponding on roads is a strong possibility. Our winds will also pick up from the east and then from the north between 15 and 25 mph today. High temperatures will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Tonight, as the low moves away from the area, a few widely scattered showers are possible. Otherwise, we’ll see mostly cloudy skies. Low temperatures will be in the upper 50s.

On Sunday, our weather will remain unsettled. We’ll see mostly cloudy skies and a few scattered showers. An isolated thunderstorm is possible. High temperatures will be slightly cooler, reaching the mid and upper 60s.

As we begin the work week, a few showers are possible Monday afternoon. Otherwise, we’ll see partly cloudy skies and highs in the lower 70s. Our forecast will improve a lot through the week. In fact, we’ll see a nice mix of sun and clouds from Tuesday through at least Thursday. Highs will warm back into the mid 80s next week.
