Older dog with tumor found in a crate dumped in a Virginia Beach ditch

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Virginia Beach Animal Control investigators are looking for information about a dog that was found in a crate in a ditch on the side of the road in the 3600 block of Winston Avenue.

Authorities say a citizen spotted the dog and reported it around 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

An Animal Control Officer responded and found an older, tri-colored beagle with a large tumor on her left side, inside of the crate in the ditch.

Investigators are now looking for anyone who may know anything about the dog or her owners.
