Newport News police need help identifying robbery suspect

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Police need your help identifying the man who robbed a Metro PCS Store.

SURVEILLANCE PICThe robbery happened Monday, May 16 around 1:50 p.m. at the store located on J. Clyde Morris Blvd.

According to police, a man implied he had a weapon and stole cash from the register and cabinet.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or light skinned black man between 5’03”-5’05” with a slim build. He was wearing a burgundy sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.  His face was covered except for his eyes which were described as being “very blue.”
