VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - A Norfolk school bus ran off the road and into a ditch near the intersection of Indian River Road and North Landing Road in Virginia Beach on Tuesday afternoon.
There were elementary school children on the bus.
Two adults and 15 students were taken to Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital with minor injuries. All have been released from the hospital.
According to Virginia Beach Police, the incident happened at 1:23 p.m.
Witnesses reported the incident to police.
No other vehicles were involved.
Indian River Road was closed to traffic between North Landing Road and West Neck Road.
