Patrick’s First Warning Forecast: Get ready for another big drop

Posted

Chief Meteorologist Patrick Rockey’s First Warning Forecast

Fasten your seat belts, we have another big temperature drop on the way.

A Canadian cold front will cross the region this evening. It will bring a few extra clouds but probably not any rain. But we will see sharply cooler temperatures by Wednesday. We will go from high temperatures well into the 80s today to highs mainly in the 60s tomorrow. Expect plenty of sunshine and a light northeast breeze.

Those winds will shift back to the south on Thursday sending temperatures back up into the lower 70s under partly cloudy skies.

Warm air will really surge in on Friday ahead of another cold front. Expect highs in the upper 70s and low-to-mid 80s. Showers and possibly thunderstorms will move in by Friday afternoon and evening.

Some of the wet weather may linger into early on Saturday. But most of the day is looking dry and cooler, with high temperatures in the mid 60s.

Sunday will bring more pleasant weather with plenty of sunshine and high temperatures in the lower 70s.
