Tracking more sun and wind for your weekend….Grab your sunglasses! We’re tracking a lot of sunshine for your weekend, courtesy of an area of high pressure over Hampton Roads and Northeastern North Carolina. But with an area of low pressure lingering offshore, the winds will continue to be a bit gusty at times. So, as we move through our Saturday and Sunday, expect mostly sunny skies. Highs will be in the low and mid 60s. Winds will blow in from the northeast between 15 and 25 mph. Some higher gusts are likely, especially along the coast.

By Monday, the winds will relax and our temperatures will warm up. We’re expecting highs in the mid 70s under mostly sunny skies. On Tuesday, we’ll be in the 70s, too. But a cold front will move in from the north late Tuesday, giving way to highs in the 60s Wednesday and Thursday. Rain moves back in by Friday.

Friday Night: Moon and Stars. A Few High Clouds. Chilly. Low temperatures in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Winds: NE 10-15 mph.
