Wednesday’s First Warning Forecast: A freezing morning

Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast

A frigid start… A Freeze Warning is in effect for much of Hampton Roads and Northeastern North Carolina until 9 AM. Temperatures will start in the 20s inland and 30s near the coastline. We will warm to near 60s this afternoon with plenty of sunshine. Clouds will start to build in this evening as our next weather system approaches.

A few showers may lead in overnight but most of the rain returns for Thursday. A few thunderstorms could mix in and winds will ramp up again. Highs will climb into upper 60s tomorrow afternoon.

We are tracking another system for Friday and the start of the weekend. We may start with sunshine Friday morning but clouds and rain chances will return by Friday afternoon. Rain chances will be more scattered but will likely linger through Saturday morning. Highs will slip back into 50s for Friday and Saturday. Highs will drop into the 40s on Sunday.

Today: Mostly Sunny. Highs in the upper 50s. Winds: S/E 5-15

Tonight: Partly to Mostly Cloudy, Showers Overnight. Lows in the low 50s. Winds: S 5-15

Tomorrow: Mostly Cloudy, Rain(70%), Windy. Highs in the upper 60s. Winds: S/W 10-20
