Virginia Beach, Va. – Virginia Beach city public schools have once again been designated by the National Association of Music Merchants as one of the best communities for music education in the country.
Virginia Beach city Public schools has earned this distinction multiple times in the past, most recently in 2015.
The best communities are selected based on funding, and staffing.
More than 37,000 Virginia Beach Public School students take some form of music education within the city.
This includes orchestra, band, and chorus, which are available to students at every level (elementary, middle, and high).
Virginia Beach Public Schools was just one of 476 school divisions across the country that were named Best Communities for Music Education.
