Chesapeake, VA — Ben Smith earned his title as the “Fittest Man on Earth” when he won the Reebok Crossfit Games last year. Now, the Chesapeake native’s fitness advice is being featured in Men’s Health Magazine.
“He’s of average height and weight (5’11, 190), with the kind of strong-looking, but not overly-muscular build you might get from doing a lot of manual labor,” wrote Michael Easter of Smith in Men’s Health. “But when he works out, he’s a beast.”
The article highlights Smith’s advice on form, fun and reducing stress.
Smith trains at CrossFit Krypton in Chesapeake. He won the top title in 2015 after six previous appearances at the CrossFit Games.
As he prepared for his event last year, he told NewsChannel 3 “the harder the event, the tougher the challenge, the more I’m going to thrive in it.”
Smith continued, “We push ourselves every day when we train; we always do something harder than you’re going to do when you compete.”
