Prince William County, Va. – One man has died and five people are injured after being trapped inside of an industrial freezer.

Fire officials in Prince William County say a shelving unit collapsed inside the large walk-in freezer at Reinhard Foodservice, trapping multiple people.

Officials say the shelves that fell were 30 feet high and 200 feet long with frozen foods stacked on them.

The fire department had a technical rescue group on the scene.

Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment. The deceased victim will be taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.

The Prince William County Police Homicide Unit, the Department of Fire and Rescue and investigators from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating the cause of the rack’s collapse.
