Hampton, Va. – Get ready for a touch of Hollywood in Hampton Roads this month. Hampton University’s School of Liberal Arts is proud to present their first film festival.
H.U.F.F. is free to the public and will begin March 28 at 6:30 p.m and will end March 30. The three day event will have an amazing line up of films, special guest speakers, and workshops.
The films presented will bring to light to a wide range of topics in the African American community, such as black-on-black crime, 21st century dating and the power of laughter.
“The entire Hampton Community is excited,” said Booker T. Mattison, Hampton University Associate Professor.
Special appearances will be made by Sundance Film Festival participant Ruben Cannon, actor and Hampton alum Stephen Hill, Beyoncé and A$AP Rocky music video director Shomi Patwary and others.
“It is a well rounded event that not only entertains, but educates the Hampton Roads Community.”
Each film that is screened will highlight Hampton University’s support of independent film making in Virginia.
H.U.F.F. is sponsored by the School of Liberal Arts, the Mellon Foundation, and Kodak.
