Norfolk, Va. - After dozens of people were killed in multiple explosions in Brussels, awareness has been heightened at airports all over the world including Norfolk. Folks are also taking extra precautions at the Amtrak Station.

Passengers say they saw dogs smelling luggage, plant stands and sitting areas in the Norfolk Airport.

Officials say there is no need for extra security at ORF but they are certainly being more vigilant. That was not the case at the Amtrak Station where there is an increased police presence.

"Amtrak maintains a strong security posture to keep our passengers, employees and the railroad safe.  Partnering with local, state and federal law enforcement, robust security measures are in place at stations, on trains and along the tracks. Amtrak Police are working with state, local and federal law enforcement partners to gather and share intelligence," says Kimberly Woods, Amtrak Media Relations.

No incidents have been reported.
