Recently, HomeSnacks.netdid a report on the top safest places to live in Virginia . Among the list were Williamsburg coming in as the eighth safest place to live. Portsmouth was ranked 60 on the list.
The results were based off of FBI data in 2014 and the calculations of residents being a victim of a crime each year. The study was done on cities that had a population of 5,000 or more. 60 cities were researched, including Bridgwater as number one and Blacksburg as number five in the state.
