News Channel 3’s morning anchor and reporter, Jessica Larche, has continued to inspire all–this time in The Health Journal. Her weight loss journey has been featured in Women’s Day Magazine and remains to encourage each person it comes in contact with .
Jessica Larche started on her journey in 2011, after her father passed away. Her father was nearly 500 pounds and struggled with maintaining a healthy weight.
In the the summer of 2012, Larche was told that her blood pressure was dangerously high. With her family’s medical history (obesity, diabetes, and hypertension) in mind, she was given a kick start to “Jessica on a Journey.” With dedication and courageous motivation Jessica started to see result not only on the outside, but on the inside.
“I mapped out my meals. I started walking. At first, exercise was painful. I was 245 pounds. You have to have the right motivation—it’s not just about the outside, but how you feel inside. You have to think 30-40 years down the road,” said Larche.
Jessica has shed 100 pounds as of February 2015. Among the many women she has inspired someone very dear, her mom. She is in the best shape of her life and they both are looking forward to Jessica’s wedding this upcoming spring to the love of her life, Sean.
