A surveillance camera at St John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana recorded the moments before it was destroyed by a tornado that passed through the area on Tuesday.
The footage shows a waiting room inside the sheriff’s office.
First, an outer door swings open as the tornado approaches. Debris can be seen flying around outside.
When the tornado hits, the door is ripped open, debris and dust fly into the waiting room and the camera is sucked up into the ceiling.
The tornado was confirmed to be a strong EF-2 that caused significant damage in LaPlace, Louisiana.
