Norfolk police investigating 30th homicide of 2015

Norfolk, Va. – Norfolk police are investigating this week’s second homicide. Officers were called to the 900 block of Rugby Street shortly after 7:00 p.m. to check on the status of a man who family members had not been able to contact.

Upon searching the home, police discovered the body of 51-year-old Andre Livingston with apparent injuries.

Police are classifying Mr. Livingston’s death as an active homicide investigation, but the exact cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The case is the city’s 30th homicide of 2015.
