Accomack County, Va. – A 13-year-old died after he was shot Friday morning in the Keller area of Accomack County, according to a release sent from Lieutenant Gerald Goga, a spokesperson for the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Todd Godwin says crews responded to a shooting at a residence on Keller Pond Road around 10:45 a.m. When they arrived, they found Breonya Collins suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics transported Collins to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Investigators say an altercation occurred between Collins and Nicholas Martinez White, 23, of Onancock, where gunshots were fired resulting in the death of Collins.
Warrants were issued against White for Second Degree Murder and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Murder. White is currently be held at the Accomack County Jail without bond.
