Portsmouth, Va. - One man is dead and another is injured after both were shot inside a car on Buchanan Avenue near South Street in Portsmouth, according to police.
The shooting happened just before 2:30am.
Police say the car the two men were in crashed following the shooting.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The driver has been identified as 32-year-old Dante Austin.
The homicide remains under investigation.
