Tracking a few showers… Watch out for areas of dense fog this morning, especially for inland areas. We are watching an area of low pressure off of the Florida coast that will likely shape our weekend forecast. As of now, this low will stay well off of the coastline as it moves northeast.

That will keep most of the rain to our south and east. A small change in the track of this low could change our weekend rain chances. Expect partly cloudy skies today with a few stray showers possible. Temperatures will start in the 60s this morning and warm into the low 80s this afternoon. Highs will remain in the low to mid 80s through the weekend. We will see a mix of sun and clouds through the weekend with isolated showers possible. Rain chances will increase next week.

Today: Partly Cloudy, Stray Showers(10%). Highs in the low 80s. Winds: E 5-10

Tonight: Partly Cloudy, Stray Showers(10%). Lows in the upper 60s. Winds: E 5-10

Tomorrow: Partly Cloudy, Isolated Showers(20%). Highs in the mid 80s. Winds: E 5-10

Tropical Update

We are watching three areas in the tropics…

1) Tropical Depression Ten has formed in the Eastern Atlantic. TD 10 is about 870 miles WSW of the Cape Verde Islands and moving WNW at 9 mph. Winds are near 30 mph with some strengthening expected. TD 10 could become a tropical storm this weekend.

2) Tropical Depression Nine is about 1000 miles ENE of the Lesser Antilles and is moving slowly NNW. TD 9 will likely weaken to a remnant low today with no threat to land.

3) We are watching an area of low pressure area just east of northern Florida. There is some potential for this low to develop into a subtropical or tropical cyclone during the next few days as it moves northeast off of the Carolina coastline.
