Norfolk city worker charged with rape, abduction

Norfolk, Va. - A Norfolk city employee is facing several charges after a woman told police he sexually assaulted her several times.

Police have arrested Andrew Prause, who is listed in documents as a Norfolk City Employee who has worked for the Parks and Urban Forestry department for the last seven years.

On September 5th at 7 p.m., a 40-year-old woman filed a report saying that Prause, 45, sexually assaulted her between August 1, 2015 and September 5th in the 5900 block of Monaco Court.

Prause was arrested a few hours later after the report was filed.

He has been charged with rape, abduction, object sexual penetration and sexual battery.

He is now in the Norfolk City Jail on no bond.
