VIPIR Forecast: A cold front brings a few storms, then drier weather for the weekend

Posted

A cold front brings a few storms, then drier weather….Stay VIPIReady! We’re keeping an eye on a cold front that will slide through the area tonight. A few scattered showers and thunderstorms will likely develop, capable of producing gusty winds, heavy rain and minor flooding. Otherwise, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies. Low temperatures will be in the mid 70s.

The front will slowly move offshore on Friday. However, before exiting the coast, a couple of isolated showers and storms could develop, especially early in the day. By afternoon and evening, drier weather will move in. Highs will be in the mid 80s.  The forecast is getting better and better for the weekend. While most of us will see a mix of sun and clouds, a couple of stray showers are possible. However, the weekend will not be a washout! Highs will be in the mid 80s.
