Suspects arrested and charged after Portsmouth man is killed in front of young daughter

UPDATE: Portsmouth police have arrested Lane and Burden.

Portsmouth, Va. - Police have now identified two suspects  in the shooting death of Antonio Scott.  They've charged 19-year-old Christian Burden with first-degree murder, armed burglary, robbery, abduction, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

They've also charged Alfred Lane with first degree murder an a host of other charges including robbery and abduction.

Kamisha E. Johnson has not been charged. They are still trying to locate her in connection with this case.

The shooting happened shortly before 3:00 p.m. that day inside of a home in the 400 block of Florida Avenue.

When police arrived, they found 31-year-old Antonio C. Scott shot to death right inside of his home. Family members tell NewsChannel 3 Scott was gunned down right in front of his youngest daughter.

"Everyone is just devastated because no one ever thought it would happen to him because he isn't a problem person he doesn't do nothing," says Shantzia Scott, a cousin.

His sister also spoke with NewsChannel 3.

"He was a great guy, greatest brother ever," says Lakeshia Scott.
