There will be periods of dry weather for your Friday evening. But we'll also be tracking scattered storms crossing the region from time to time. And we expect more stormy weather overnight. Some of the storms could be strong to severe. So we'll see more gusty winds, lightning, heavy downpours and even hail.
And that's pretty much the forecast for your Saturday. It won't rain from beginning to end. But it'll be difficult to plan any extended outdoor activities on Saturday, with scattered strong storms moving in from time to time. The wet weather sticks around Saturday night and early on Sunday morning. Some of us could pick up another 2-3 inches of rain by the time it end Sunday morning.
But it will end and we should be able to salvage a pretty decent Sunday, with increasing sunshine and high temperatures in the mid-to-upper 80s.
