Hope you enjoyed today's break from the extreme heat and storms because warmer and wet weather will be making a comeback over the next few days. As a matter of fact, you may want to get your lawn mowed soon because there won't be a lot of opportunities between now and next Monday.
We'll kick off your Thursday on a sunny and pleasant note. But by the afternoon, we may see a few storms pop up in the heat and humidity. Expect highs tomorrow in the upper 80s and lower 90s. More showers and storms are possible tomorrow night.
Ahead of an approaching cold front, we'll see the mercury climb into the low-to-mid 90s on Friday. And as that boundary crosses the region, scattered showers and storms are likely.
That front will hit the brakes and park itself just to our south. That's close enough to keep us unsettled this weekend. We'll have a good chance for showers both Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the mid 80s.
The front should clear the area for the start of the work week, ushering in some dry and mild air. Expect highs on Monday in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
