Patrick’s forecast: Steamy and stormy

and last updated

Yesterday's weather is just a distant memory.

The heat and humidity have returned with a vengeance. We're seeing highs back in the 90s today, with triple-digit heat index values. We may see some cooling showers and storms later this evening.

More scattered storms are possible tomorrow afternoon and evening, as a cold front crosses the region. Ahead of the front, we'll see high temperatures in the low-to-mid 90s, once again.

But behind the cold front, we'll enjoy more comfortable weather on Saturday. It'll still be warmer than normal. But we can expect highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s and (slightly) lower humidity values, along with a good chance for some storms around.

Father's Day ushers in the start of summer. And it'll sure feel like it, with highs in the low-to-mid 90s, and a slight chance for storms. It looks like the hot weather will stick around for the start of the work week, but we're expecting a significant cool down by midweek.
