Hampton Roads prepares for PrideFest

Norfolk, Va. – Hampton Roads PrideFest is making a return to Norfolk June 26th and 27th.

Starting Friday, June 26th the PrideFest will kick off with a block party on West 21st street in Norfolk from 7 p.m. to midnight.

Then Sunday, the PrideFest kicks up with a performance from the female R&B group En Vogue and 2 DJs.

The Boat Parade is going to be led by a U.S. Coast Guard cutter, opened by U.S. Marine Corps Color Guard, and the U.S. Navy Fleet Forces Band will perform the National Anthem.

Hampton Roads Pride Vice President Michael Berlucchi says, “We feel so strongly about that that fact that once a year, we organize ourselves, raise funds, and produce huge PrideFest celebration.”

The PrideFest celebration is free and open to the public to enjoy the entertainment and festivities.
