Patrick Rockey’s Live VIPIR Forecast
Sunshine and 70s on this Sunday. If only it could last forever. It can't.
Heat and humidity will return for the start of the work week. Ahead of a strong cold front, expect highs back in the upper 80s and lower 90s through most of the work week.
It looks like we may see some areas of dense fog on Monday morning. It'll be a mild start to the work week, with morning lows in the 60s in the metro areas and upper 50s inland. But temperatures will climb in the afternoon, with highs mainly in the upper 80s. We'll enjoy plenty of sunshine through the first part of the day, with a few more afternoon clouds.
Those clouds look like they'll bring scattered showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday. A few of the storms could be strong to severe as the cold front pushes through.
We'll enjoy milder, less humid air on Wednesday, with highs in the low-to-mid 80s. But the heat will come roaring back on Thursday and Friday, with highs back in the 90s.
More scattered storms will be moving in by the weekend. Be VIPIReady.
