Rounds of heavy rain causing flooding…We will continue to see several rounds of storms producing heavy rainfall this afternoon and evening. Some locations have already seen 2″+ of rainfall with more on the way. Expect areas of flooding and ponding on the roads. The chance for rain and storms will continue through midweek as a string of fronts lingers across the Mid-Atlantic.
We will see mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers/storms this afternoon and evening. Some storms could be strong to severe with our biggest threat for heavy downpours. Pockets of small hail and gusty winds are also possible. Scattered showers and storms return for Wednesday and Thursday with chances tapering off as we head into the weekend. Highs will dip into the upper 70s for Wednesday and Thursday and slide back into the 80s for the weekend.
