Virginia Beach man hurt in fatal crash in Prince George County

Prince George, Va. (WTKR) – A Virginia Beach man was hurt in a crash that killed one person in Prince George County early Sunday morning.

Prince George County Police say Jesse Tomlin, 25, of Virginia Beach was the driver of a car that went off the road, struck a culvert and overturned.

The crash happened just before 2 a.m. on Ruffin Road in Prince George.

Tomlin was transported by helicopter to VCU Medical Center for his injuries.

A passenger, Donna Broadnax, 19, of Hopewell was transported to another Richmond area hospital for her injuries.

A second passenger, Shawn Hambleton, 26, of Hopewell died at the scene after being ejected from the car.

Right now, Prince George County Police say they think alcohol was a contributing factor to the crash.

So far, no charges have been filed.
