Norfolk, Va. - The USS Helena will be returning to Naval Station Norfolk today.
The Los Angeles-class attack submarine has been deployed for the past few months.
The Navy says the Helena has traveled more than 38,000 nautical miles during the deployment.
The crew made port visits in Bahrain, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates during that time.
Fifteen officers and 129 enlisted sailors are currently aboard the Helena.
The Helena is scheduled to arrive around 1 p.m. on Friday.
