The first named storm of the 2015 hurricane season could bring us some soggy weather well into next week.

Tropical Storm Ana formed late Thursday evening, with 45-mile-per-hour sustained winds.  The storm is expected to creep very slowly toward the South Carolina coast and finally make landfall sometime Saturday.  After that, the remnants will turn to the northeast and move in our general direction.

Ana will bring some gusty winds and heavy downpours along the Carolina coast. And with any land falling tropical system, isolated tornadoes are possible.

Here at home, we expect occasional rain bands to move through on Friday and Saturday.  And we’ll have a 20% chance for showers on Mother’s Day, too.  But it looks like the bulk of Ana’s moisture will arrive here late Monday, Tuesday and possibly into Wednesday of next week.
