When police arrived, they found two teen boys suffering from gun shot wounds.  Police say both of the teens were alert and conscious. One of the boys is listed in serious condition with a life-threatening injury. The second teen is being treated for a non-life threatening injury.

Shortly after the teens were brought to the hospital, police say a third teenage boy checked himself into a hospital for a gunshot wound. There is no information about the severity of his injuries, police say.

The Virginia Beach Detective Bureau is investigating.

One woman says she couldn't help but cry when she saw the teens bleeding just a few feet away from her door.

"It's very hard sometimes to see this, very hard to talk about it," says a neighbor.
