Vacant home damaged by fire in Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach, Va. (WTKR) – Firefighters battled a house fire  Sunday morning in Virginia Beach.

Officials responded to the fire at 6324 Colby Way in the College Park section of the city at 10:43 a.m.

The owner of the home lives out of the area and currently no one lives in the home.

It took firefighters about 15 minutes to get the fire under control.

There was extensive damage caused by fire on the first floor and heavy smoke damage to the second floor.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
