Nothing suspicious found during bomb threat investigation at TCC in Chesapeake

Chesapeake, Va. - A bomb threat caused an evacuation at the Chesapeake campus of Tidewater Community College on Monday morning, according to Chesapeake Police.

Crews searched all the buildings for anything suspicious, but nothing was found.

Calls reporting the threat came in around 10:50 a.m.

The school reportedly received a phone call stating that a bomb was going to explode, according to the Chesapeake Fire Department.

Police and fire crews arrived on scene shortly after they were dispatched to find that all buildings had been evacuated.

Faculty and students are now able to return to the buildings.
