Hampton, Va. - Hampton police are investigating the death of a baby, police tell NewsChannel 3.

On Thursday, July 30th, officials ruled her death as undetermined. They say unless they receive more evidence, there will be no charges made in this case.

On April 12, 2015 at 2:17 a.m., police received a medical call for service in the 3600 block of Kecoughtan Road in reference to a 3-month-old Hampton female that was unresponsive.

Emergency crews responded to the home where she was pronounced deceased at 2:27 a.m.

The child was identified as Harmony Barnes. A second infant was found inside the home and transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Hampton Police Detectives immediately began conducting a death investigation, which is standard procedure whenever a juvenile dies.
