Dominic Brown’s Live VIPIR Forecast
Track storms with the NewsChannel 3 Interactive Radar
Tracking strong to severe storms....As we move through this Friday, expect a mix of sun and clouds across the viewing area. It will be warm and breezy as high temperatures soar into the lower 80s, with breezy southwesterly winds. Stay VIPIReady though. Late in the day, a cold front will move in from the west, colliding with the warm, humid air. As a result, showers and thunderstorms will become likely. Some of those storms could be strong to severe, with damaging winds and hail as the primary threats. An isolated tornado is not out of the questions. Storms will be likely tonight. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies with lows in the mid and upper 50s. A stray shower or two is possible early Saturday morning. Otherwise, we'll see gradual clearing, with plenty of sunshine from late morning through the afternoon. High temperatures will be in the upper 60s. On Sunday, more sunshine is on tap with highs in the low to mid 60s. More showers move in by the middle of next week.
