Windsor, Va. - Shelli Maupin is not too happy with how late she found out about Windsor Elementary School’s heating problem.
"We're just now getting an email at noon? The kids have been in school since 9 o'clock,” says Maupin.
Maupin is a stay at home mom, so coming and picking her child up early was not a problem for her.
But she says other parents are not too happy.
"There's a lot of parents out there that have to take off work to go out here to get their kids. They've had off the last two weeks basically and now another day,” says Maupin.
School officials say the school did not receive their fuel supply in time for the day due to the weather.
Some parents say they understand the issue and reason that it wasn't even that cold in the school.
"It's not as bad as they made it sound on the phone. It's close to 60 degrees in there so if they're wearing a sweatshirt they'd be fine,” says Maupin.
Officials say the school did get their fuel supply and had a heated building before the end of the school day.
