Update: Police says 10-year-old Vernon Brown has been found safely with his aunt. Police say a friend who was with him earlier saw his picture on the news and called to let them know he was with his aunt on 37th Street.
Newport News, Virginia - Police are looking for 10 year old Vernon Brown who went missing Wednesday night from his home in the 600 block of 42nd Street.
Vernon's mother arrived home from work around 9:30pm and noticed he was missing.
Vernon had been in the care of relatives while his mother was at work.
Around 1:00pm Vernon went outside to play in the snow. He was reported to have last been seen around 9:30pm in the 800 block of 35th Street getting a shovel so that he could begin shoveling snow.
Vernon was last seen wearing blue overalls, a gray coat, blue gloves, and green multicolored Adidas shoes.
