Hampton, Va. - The city of Hampton is remembering and celebrating the life of a long time coach who passed away last week. The honoree is 49-year-old Barrin Donahoo, known around Hampton as "the" coach Donahoo.
Donahoo started his coaching career in Hampton in 1989. His coaching career spans from middle schools all the way to the big leagues with the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union).
Sadly, coach Donahoo passed last week from a heart attack.
Tonight, hundreds gathered at Hampton High School to reflect on his impact.
