Police and fire crews responded to a partial building collapse at a Morton Salt company building in Chicago on Tuesday, reports WGNTV.com.

A wall of the building collapsed, and a mountain of salt poured onto several nearby vehicles.

Fire officials said workers at the facility apparently piled the salt  higher than they were supposed to, and the resulting pressure caused the south wall to collapse.

There were no reported injuries. The salt buried at least 11 cars next door in a McGrath Acura dealership lot.

This is a developing story.
