Chesapeake, Va. - A Chesapeake woman says she knows the true meaning of Christmas -- giving back to others.

Nischelle Buffalow’s Warm and Fuzzy Christmas Coat Drive is spreading holiday cheer to families in need.

Buffalow is a former People Taking Action award winner from 2012.

Monday night’s giveaway marked its third year. Buffalow, along with several friends and family, gave away coats, socks, scarfs, hats, gloves, and blankets.

A warm meal was also added to bring joy to disadvantaged children as well as elderly in Chesapeake.

In addition, food baskets with assorted goodies were made up for the grandparents taking care of their grandchildren and others needing help.

Even though the giveaway was already held, there’s still time to donate coats. You can still drop off donations at 513 B St Chesapeake, Va. For more information about this drive, as well Buffalow's Back-to-School drive, you can email Buffalow at shellglamour@yahoo.com.
