Woman convicted for stealing Christmas gifts from front porches sentenced

Update: Leigh-Anne Larson has been charged with grand larceny and one count of petit larceny. She was sentence to 22 years, all suspended except one year. She must be on good behavior for a year after she is released. She is also ordered to pay nearly $3,000 in restitution. She will be taken into custody on Thursday. 

Virginia Beach, Va. - Police began receiving reports from citizens around Thanksgiving that Christmas presents were disappearing from their front porches after being delivered by UPS, FED-EX or USPS.

Virginia Beach Police ended those thefts Saturday morning when they recovered 100+ stolen Christmas gifts, and arrested the person responsible.

Leigh-Anne Larson, 49, of the 1400 block of Lakeview Drive was charged with two counts of grand larceny and released on a $10,000 bond.

Police are asking citizens to contact Det. Cutrer at 757-385-8124 to make a report and to identify the potentially stolen items, if they feel they are one of the victims.
