Minneapolis, Minn. – Garth Brooks surprised a fan battling cancer at a concert Friday night.

Teresa Shaw traveled from Iowa to see Brooks in Minneapolis and during the song, ‘The Dance,’ she held up a sign that said, “Chemo this morning, Garth tonight. Enjoy the dance.” according to KARE.

Shaw has been fighting stage three breast cancer since June.

An usher brought Shaw up to the front row, where Brooks spotted her and serenaded her, then gave her his guitar and kissed her on the forehead.

The country star then took Shaw’s sign up on stage, held it up and said, “You have all my strength. You have everybody’s strength in here, and you go kick cancer’s a**!”
